Toni Steinbarth, LMHC is a graduate of Niagara University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and has been in private practice since 2011.
I entered the counseling profession in my mid-30’s. This was after years of exploring other jobs that never seemed to “stick”. I finally accepted that I had grown – up enough emotionally to handle pursing the career I knew I was destined for and along the way learned the joy of what it means to be doing the work you are called to do.
My professional experience and areas of interest include working with individuals with complex mental health situations such as bipolar disorder, history of trauma and complicated family dynamics, experiences with suicidal thoughts, hospitalizations and struggles navigating the mental health system. I also work with the parents, spouses and loved ones of individuals who have a serious mental health issue and who are struggling to balance their complicated dual roles as caretaker and loved one.
